Why We Rebranded
There’s no denying our world is constantly changing and growing more complex. At Hatcher, we’re changing and growing too, and we’re excited about what the future holds.
2019 began with the passing of the torch from Hatcher’s visionary leaders, Ed Hatcher and Angie Cannon, to seasoned communications professionals, Amy Buckley and Amy Fahnestock. With more than 50 combined years of experience in strategic communications and project management, “the Amys” as they’re affectionately called by their colleagues, hit the ground running to build on Hatcher’s legacy and reputation for excellence, while also making their own unique mark on the firm.
With new ideas, fresh faces, and ever-evolving client needs, Hatcher decided it was time to rebrand. When we started down the re-branding path, we knew our hearts were still in the same place—with purpose-driven organizations seeking to improve lives and communities—and we dug deep to articulate the values at the core of our day-to-day work. This is what we found. This is our story.
Our Brand Story
A story is a light in the dark. We tell them around campfires, while tucking our little ones in bed, when we feel alone, when we’re uncertain what comes next. They help us find our way. They can change hearts and minds, or plant seeds that grow into big social change.
We know the world’s challenges can seem insurmountable at times. Inequality and injustice make up too many of the headlines we see on a daily basis. But every day, everywhere, there are countless people making a difference. Fighting for change. Standing up against injustice. And their stories deserve a spotlight.
