Digital Marketing Associate

The Hatcher Group seeks an associate to provide digital media strategy and support to its clients, including nonprofit organizations, foundations, and government agencies. The associate will launch paid digital campaigns, and lead organic social media strategy and execution for clients, specializing in targeted outreach and message amplification. They will join a growing digital team supporting all clients with social and other related digital activities. The associate will utilize project management software to track project timeline, in-flight campaigns progress, and effectiveness in real-time.

The ideal candidate is curious, digitally savvy, and willing to learn and experiment with new technology, strategies, and tactics. They must excel at understanding paid digital strategies and how to effectively boost client engagement and amplification. The selected candidate will also be expected to contribute positively to a team environment rooted in the firm’s core values, upholding our community guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Write and develop content strategy for social media
  • Strategize and execute paid social and digital media campaigns
  • Achieve efficient digital planning, ad buying, and budgeting
  • Utilize program management and media planning software
  • Remain informed and up-to-date regarding social and digital media best practices to share with clients

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 to 3 years of related professional experience
  • Experience with the Facebook, Twitter, and Google Ads platforms
  • Experience with The Trade Desk, or other programmatic digital advertising preferred
  • Knowledge of email distribution tools (such as Constant Contact or MailChimp)
  • Knowledge of social listening tools (such as Meltwater or Talkwaker)
  • Familiarity with WordPress, Sprout Social, TweetReach, Tweepi, and Canva a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and Google Suite
  • Strong work ethic and ability to juggle multiple deadlines
  • Excellent writing skills and expertise in writing for social media, email, and web
  • Ability to work directly with clients and manage projects in collaboration with others
