Ellen Back is passionate about team building, problem solving, and growing sales.
Ellen has over three years of proposal and capture management experience and seven years of professional writing experience, contributing articles to publications including USA Today and The Baltimore Sun.
At The Hatcher Group, Ellen leverages her multimedia and editorial skills to improve the quality, delivery and execution of client deliverables including RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs. She works closely with leadership teams to identify and execute process improvements to drive strategic growth.
Prior to joining The Hatcher Group, Ellen served as the direct arm of the capture organization at AbleVets (now a Cerner company), where she was responsible for managing the business pipeline, facilitating bid/no-bid discussions and leading the full lifecycle of the proposal development process. Before her career in government contracting, Ellen was a writer and editor for the University of Maryland’s Office of Process Innovation. That role provided a strong foundation for the process improvements and strategies she employs today across teams.
