James Wall is a senior communications director, focusing on the education sector. He is an experienced communications professional, with more than 20 years in media relations, marketing strategy, branding, and digital marketing execution. He has worked with a variety of clients including educational institutions, nonprofits, foundations, public companies and start-ups including Jefferson County Public Schools (Colorado), the University of Denver, Johns Hopkins University and others.
Before joining Hatcher, James was on the leadership team at PIN Business Network, a digital marketing agency with offices in Denver, CO. and Reston, VA. At PIN, he helped open and build the Virginia office, adding Johns Hopkins University and United Way Worldwide as clients of the agency. Prior to joining PIN, James served as executive director of communications and marketing at the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business. There he helped turn around a college-wide, graduate student enrollment crisis, undertook a major refresh of the college’s brand, and redeveloped the college’s website. Before the University of Denver, James helped run a PR firm, Agency 33, in Denver serving a wide range of clients.
James attended Eton College and graduated from the University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom. He undertook graduate legal studies at London Metropolitan University. He is admitted to the bar in Colorado and, before moving to the United States, was a Solicitor of the Senior Courts in England and Wales. James is a joint citizen of the United Kingdom and United States.
