Prior to joining The Hatcher Group, Juan worked as a Victim Services Specialist and later a Communications Associate at a national victim services organization.
There, they were able to cultivate their communications skills while managing various social media accounts, creating content, and developing marketing strategies for different grants while being able to further social justice with their work. The experience Juan gained while working directly with victims of crime translated directly into the work they did to further the mission of the different grants and programs they did communications work for.
Juan received their bachelor’s degree in Psychology and American Music History, with a minor in Art, from Georgetown University. While at Georgetown, they were very involved in the Queer POC community at the University and was also part of a non-profit a Capella group that often performed at charity events.
