Lindsey Heyl is a designer who believes in the power of storytelling through design. With over 25 years of experience, she combines strategic communication with a deep passion for creativity to turn complex ideas into captivating visuals. Her journey spans from the Peace Corps to the boardrooms of high-profile organizations, all while fostering a unique approach that bridges cultures, sparks inspiration, and leaves a lasting impact.

Before joining The Hatcher Group, Lindsey served as Senior Graphic Designer at the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), where she led the design of books, campaigns, reports, and websites. Her portfolio also includes extensive freelance work with high-profile clients like the U.S. Chemical Safety Board, U.S. Geological Survey, National Geographic, and the Smithsonian Botanic Garden.

Lindsey holds a degree in public relations from Northern Arizona University and studied international communications at Hanze University in the Netherlands. Following graduation, she joined the Peace Corps and taught English in Kyrgyzstan, gaining a deep appreciation for cultural connection and adaptability. Later, she earned her BFA in graphic design from George Mason University, graduating with distinction and receiving the Outstanding Undergraduate Graphic Design Award.

A firm believer in community and lifelong learning, Lindsey has served on the board of AIGA DC, contributed to the AIGA DC Continuum Scholarship Fund, and now sits on the board of the Western Maryland Climbing Coalition.

She embraces new experiences that stretch both her perspective and her creativity.
