Maddie Abreu

Senior Associate

Maddie Abreu is an enthusiastic and mission-driven event planner who is committed to delivering impactful and memorable experiences to clients. 

Prior to joining The Hatcher Group, Maddie was a program manager at the Institute of International Education, supporting the U.S. Department of State Fulbright Program. She was responsible for designing, conducting outreach, and delivering multi-day in-person enrichment seminars, hybrid workshops, and virtual orientations for domestic and international students and scholars. She also worked on the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program while at Meridian International Center, where she managed vendor relationships, travel itineraries, lodging, and catering logistics. With her experience working with government, the private sector, and nonprofit organizations, Maddie is eager to take on new challenges and deliver world-class events and programming.

Maddie graduated from American University with a B.A. in international studies. She most recently received her M.A. in education, policy, and society from King’s College London.
