At The Hatcher Group, Devin works with a variety of clients to advance economic opportunity and equity in education.
At Hatcher, Devin works on clients in Hatcher’s education policy, economic opportunity, and social justice and democracy focus areas. Devin has developed communications strategy and messaging for several clients, including the Arkansas Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, Maryland Department of Education, the Maryland Judiciary, and more. Devin is passionate about improving economic opportunity for low-income and marginalized communities. She is the director of TCWF, a communications initiative that promotes federal and state tax credits for low-income households. Devin develops strategic communications plans to improve tax credits at the state and federal levels, tracks legislation, supports advocacy groups, and regularly blogs on policy developments.
Devin holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Hussman School of Journalism and Media with minors in social and economic justice and business administration from the Kenan-Flagler Undergraduate Business Program. During the summer of 2016, Devin worked as a corporate engagement intern at Discovery Communications where she supported internal communications efforts and executed company-wide events to engage employees in company initiatives.
