Benjamin Stancik

Benjamin is a photographer, cinematographer, editor, and colorist with a passion for filmmaking and long-form documentary, focusing on true-to-life, purpose-driven narrative storytelling.

Before joining The Hatcher Group, Benjamin served as a Police Officer in Washington, DC for 15 years. He merged his passion for helping others, dedication to purpose and process, along with his lifelong passion for film and movie making, to continue his education, earning a degree in film and creating his full-service photo and film production company, which specialized in live events, concerts, short films, music videos, and sports. Benjamin led a team of professionals through each stage of production, always keeping the “why” at the core of each story or project.

Benjamin brings an upbeat, creative, team-first, and goal-oriented spirit to each shoot or project he is on. Benjamin’s favorite thing to do is solve a problem. With a strong technical foundation in cinematography, lighting, and post-production, he works primarily in Davinci Resolve to finalize and enhance your final product and brings the expertise and efficiency of the Adobe Suite to suit your project needs.
