Devin Simpson

Devin Simpson is an experienced communications professional who brings a passion for equity and justice to a variety of clients.  

Previously, Devin served as the communications director at Youth Invest Partners (formerly Venture Philanthropy Partners+Raise DC), a philanthropic investment organization that led social change by making sustained investments in community organizations and spearheading partnerships between key stakeholders in greater Washington. There, Devin designed and implemented the organization’s communications strategy, led the rollout of a new brand and website, and more.  

Devin started her career in 2017 at Hatcher, providing communications and project management expertise to clients such as the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, the Council for Great City Schools, Land Trust Alliance, GRAD Partnership for Student Success, and the National Assessment Governing Board. She also served as the director of Tax Credits for Workers and Their Families, a Hatcher-led initiative that provides communications technical assistance to state and national policy organizations to promote tax credits targeted to workers earning low incomes. Devin also serves as a board member at large for the DC Abortion Fund.  

Devin graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Hussman School of Journalism and Media with a degree in public relations and minors in business administration and social and economic justice.  

When she’s not drafting communications strategies, Devin’s passions include writing fiction short stories, diving into the latest fantasy romance or “romantasy” novel, and baking sweets for friends and family.
